On April 8th, they&#8217;ll be hosting a <a href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/events\/c00npaqe59i68f8d6e7hpreevj0\" target=\"_blank\">Google+ Hangout<\/a> with national experts to discuss the underground world of dog fighting with a panel moderated by ABC News anchor Dan Harris. The discussion will include little-known truths about the blood sport and its continued prevalence in America. During the Google+ Hangout, there will be live social media Q&#038;A&#8217;s across Facebook, Twitter and Google+ in which users will be able to submit questions about dog fighting with the hashtag #NDFAD and ASPCA experts will be answering them live. <\/p>\n<p>ASPCA experts include:<br \/>\nTim Rickey &#8211; VP, ASPCA Field Investigations &#038; Response<br \/>\nDr. Pam Reid &#8211; VP, ASPCA Anti-Cruelty Behavior<br \/>\nDr. Randall Lockwood &#8211; SVP, ASPCA Forensic Sciences &#038; Anti-Cruelty Projects<br \/>\nJessica Johnson &#8211; Sr. Mgr., ASPCA Grassroots Advocacy <\/p>\n<p>The ASPCA press release states they will also feature an interactive information and advocacy center on ASPCA.org that includes:<\/p>\n<p>The premiere of a never-before-seen short documentary, including undercover footage of dog fights, ASPCA rescue activity at dog fighting raids and expert insight.<br \/>\nAn interactive quiz that debunks common misconceptions about dog fighting and the dogs and people involved in this so-called sport.<br \/>\nA \u201cvirtual museum\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspca.org\/fight-cruelty\/dog-fighting\/gallery\" target=\"_blank\">photo gallery<\/a> of dog fighting and training paraphernalia, including dog treadmills, fighting pits and narcotics used to increase aggression before a fight<br \/>\nProfiles of dog fighting victims rescued by the ASPCA &#8212; most recently from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspca.org\/blog\/aspca-rescues-367-dogs-multi-state-dog-fighting-bust\" target=\"_blank\">second-largest dog fighting raid<\/a> in U.S. history<\/p>\n<p>Not everyone is aware of the horrific nature of dog fighting and the prevalence of this crime in the U.S., not to mention the long road that lies ahead for many dog fighting victims once they are removed from living in isolation on heavy chains.
