Shanie - Thank you too for making a difference in Roscoe's life. Knowing that he is no longer there, waiting for a loving home, makes my heart hurt. Roscoe was such a sweet boy and in the brief time that I got to spend with him, he made a huge difference in mine. I am sad beyond words.
I'm also increasingly upset with the portions of our society that continue to pass judgement on these types of dogs. Their total lack of disregard for the dogs' welfare, and their unwillingness to educate themselves, beyond what they are force fed by media hype, is extremely disturbing to me. For them and our judicial system to believe that destroying the lives of these amazing dogs will make the problems go away (human disregard) is pathetic, and things must change. Regardless of how they are treated, dogs continue to share their love, and teach us lessons. I had no idea when I stopped by the shelter the other day, that there would be one that would have a such profound impact on me. Thank you for all you do Shanie, and thank you to sweet Roscoe for sharing his love & beautiful soul and inspiring me to fight harder for animal welfare. He will not be forgotten. k

Thank you for writing this on behalf of Roscoe. Going to the shelter today was very hard for me. I kept looking in the back hoping and praying it was all just a dream and soon Roscoe would come running to the front of the kennel wagging his tail and giving me the "are we going for a walk look". When reality set in I was overwhelmed with sadness, sad for Roscoe but also sad for all animals who have been in similiar situations. I am not sure how we fix this but something has to be done. Thank you for making a difference in Roscoe's life.
