This is an amazing undertaking….I’m only beginning to grasp all you’ve been through and put into your business, charity and writing. What a wonderful way to journal, heal and bring your message to others. I am so glad I just decided to paint Cain’s portrait while visiting. I hope it is a reminder of the power and miracle of love, which connects us all!

Hi Kelly – I know it’s been a real doozer of a year but Cain’s story is really only just beginning. Cain is going to live on in hearts all over the country, of that there is no doubt. Your efforts to help us here at Animal Cancer Center at CSU will help countless other people and their companions in so many different ways. This is what will make Cain’s love go on forever in its own very special way. He (and you) are truly one of a kind and will make a difference in so many ways. Take care, don’t be scarce.

Kelly, I think of you and Cain often. I still have his photo on my computer, as I am sure I will forever. The joy that Cain brought to Best Friends was immeasurable! I hope that you will be back to visit again soon, and perhaps I can meet another of your furever friends (?)
I cannot even imagine your loss, but I will try to think of the gain that we all had that were fortunate enough to meet him (and you). Special ones like Cain do not come along often. Your story is wonderful. Take very good care. Sending hugs through cyberspace.

Hey Kelly…….well, I have been a faithful reader of your blog lately and my feelings are the same as your friends that you really do need to have your journal published. Its so inspiring to read! You have put your whole heart and soul into it. I give many thanks that Cain and Sadie’s dog run was between our houses as those 2 dogs started a great relationship with friends. Our family has many wonderful memories of Cain, Sadie, Casey and now Bear, too.

Kelly: You REALLY do need to get this journal of yours published! You’re an amazing writer and an even more amazing woman. You’ve got a wonderful story to share with all of us who can’t imagine our lives without our furry family members….and you could be an inspiration to those who’ve never experienced the unconditional love of pets and who just might let a furry critter become THEIR best friend.
